Diane Hodges

Diane Hodges is a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) as well as a Registered Poetry Therapist (PRT).  She holds a Master’s Degree in Art Education from The Ohio State.  During her 30 year career in art and poetry therapy, she practiced with a diversity of populations, psychiatric adults and adolescents, chemically addicted individuals and their families.  For 20 years, Diane worked with hospice patients and their families at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, Ohio, specializing in helping children in dealing with their grief.    Diane has been involved with The Delaware County Cultural Arts Center (The Arts Castle) since 1989 where she taught children’s art classes, facilitated a Children’s Bereavement Program for grieving children and their families.  Since September 2011, she has been the Executive Director for The Arts Castle. She has served on various boards, state and national, and chaired a number of fundraisers/special events including bringing the Budweiser Clydesdales to Delaware.

Diane’s interests include dressage, art, photography, writing, gardening and riding.  Diane has had her writings published in a number of journals and magazines.  Her artwork has been exhibited in a variety of settings in Ohio and Florida.

Diane and her husband, Ralph, have been coming to Wellington since 1989 and been residents in the Polo Club since 1991.  Diane has ridden her entire life and trained and shown in dressage for over 30 years. She has her bronze and silver medals and is two scores away from receiving her gold medal in dressage.  Diane and Ralph co-own Bespoke Farm in Wellington with trainer Ruth Hogan Poulsen.

Diane was elected to the POA board in 2013.  She chairs the Communications Committee.
